It's never too late to reinvent yourself.

I was born here in Sydney, Australia. I graduated from Macquarie University with a computer science degree in 2000. I now have over twenty-five years of software engineering experience, including almost fifteen years as a software engineer at CISRA (Canon Information Systems Research Australia). However, I have now taken an opportunity to change career, to make films and tell stories. To achieve this, I am now working towards a bachelor of film at SAE Institute and practice the craft of editing at home to further improve my expertise and build a portfolio. My goal is to make available my technical expertise as a film editing assistant, eventually acquiring the skills and knowledge to become a fully-fledged film editor.

I am serving as president of the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra, where I have acted as Principal Double Bass for almost twenty-five years. As a musician, I am particularly inspired by films that use music as an integral part of the story, such as Shine, Three Colours: Blue, and Amadeus.

I am also a runner and registrar at Hills Athletics Club, and have achieved a marathon time of 3:07, which reinforced in my mind what can be achieved with hard work and a good dose of self-belief.

I am passionate about perfecting my craft, I am technically proficient, and have an eye for detail. I would love the opportunity to help make your project a success.
